Lessons are held once each week in a private, one-on-one studio setting with the same instructor, allowing students to build a strong relationship and enjoy consistent progress.
Your weekly lesson day and time are reserved when you enroll by completing the registration process and making your first payment.
Students may choose either 30-minute or 60-minute lessons. During each lesson, personalized assignments and practice goals are created to encourage steady improvement between lessons.
Every student receives an individualized lesson plan tailored to their age, experience level, musical interests, and personal goals. Along the way, students learn proper playing technique, music reading, rhythm, music theory, and other essential skills that build a strong musical foundation. Students also have the opportunity to showcase their progress by participating in our annual student recital.
How Many Lessons Will I Receive Each Year?
Thomas Michael Music School provides 48 private lessons each year, averaging four lessons per month.
Because months vary in length, some months will include three lessons while others will include five lessons. Over the course of the year, however, every student receives the full 48 scheduled lessons included in their annual lesson program.
This consistent weekly schedule helps students develop strong musical skills while providing a predictable tuition structure throughout the year.
What Are Your Student Safety Standards?
We take student safety seriously. Our teaching area is equipped with continuous video monitoring. We also video monitor outside areas of the property and have video monitors present in the home for security.
Parents/Guardians are welcome to stay during lessons, we have a sitting area.
Do You Require a Signed Contract?
We require a signed contract prior to starting lessons.
For new students, we require a 2 month committment. After that, if you wish to leave, we require a 2 week notice.
Why Is Monthly Tuition the Same If Some Months Have Three Lessons and Others Have Five?
Our tuition is based on an annual enrollment, not the number of lessons in a particular month.
Thomas Michael Music School provides 48 private lessons each year, which averages four lessons per month. Because the calendar doesn’t divide evenly into four-week months, some months naturally include three scheduled lessons, while others include five. By the end of the year, every student receives the full 48 lessons included in their enrollment.
Your monthly tuition reserves your instructor’s dedicated weekly time on their teaching schedule throughout the year. This allows us to provide a consistent lesson day and time, individualized instruction, long-term lesson planning, and a predictable monthly payment rather than varying tuition from month to month.
This approach is used by many established music schools because it creates consistency for both families and instructors, allowing everyone to focus on learning and musical progress rather than changing monthly billing.
